Gateshead Council is the Burial and Cremation Authority for the Gateshead Borough and has the responsibility of managing and maintaining ten cemeteries and two crematoria.
The Cemeteries Office is situated on the ground floor of Gateshead Civic Centre (just behind the main reception desk, with the sign 'Cemeteries and Crematorium Office' on the door) and consists of a small team who are involved with the administration of burials and cremations.
