Let us organise a party with a difference for you! We have a range of activities to offer, so why not take your party to the slopes, out on the bikes or up on the high ropes?
Our qualified instructors will ensure all activities are carried out safely. Activities are one hour sessions (or multiples of an hour) which includes the issue and return of necessary equipment.
Activities are available all year round however archery, mountain biking, and high ropes are restricted to daylight hours. With the exception of the climbing, all activities take place outdoors.
Parties
Sledging
Designed especially for our younger users, this is a fun way to enjoy sledging any time of the year.
Duration: 1 Hour Age: 5 - 11yrs Max Number: 20
Tubing
Large inflatable rings specially adapted for use on our ski slope. This fast and fun way to enjoy sledging is perfect for adult parties as well as children.
Duration: 1 Hour Age: 8yrs + Max Number: 12
Skiing
An hour of fun with one of our qualified instructors. For this activity all participants have to be at least 120cm tall.

Climbing
An hour of fun and challenging activities on the indoor climbing wall.
Duration: 1 Hour Age: 7yrs + Max Number: 12
Archery
Test your skills against your friends to see who could be the next Robin Hood. For this activity all participants have to be at least 120cm tall.

Mountain Biking
Bikes and helmets for everyone are included along with a guide to escort you on a trail to suit your ability. For this activity all participants have to be at least 150cm tall.

High Ropes
Join us if you dare on our aerial assault course. Go wild in the skies and get into the swing with up to seven of your friends.
Duration: Min 2 Hours Age: 10yrs + Max Number: 8
(High ropes can accommodate up to three groups of 8 at once)
What to wear
As Whickham Thorns is an outdoor centre, activities will take place regardless of weather conditions so please bring appropriate clothing. All slope users must wear gloves, long sleeves and long trousers.

Standard
This is the basic party package and gives exclusive use of the chosen activity with all equipment and instruction.
Deluxe
This package includes the activity and instruction plus a function room for 45 minutes afterwards where self catering is allowed so that you can provide the party menu of your choice.
The birthday boy or girl will also receive a goody bag. This will include a mounted photo taken during the activity plus branded goods from the centre.
Prices include all necessary equipment.
