Fitness Classes
At Dunston Leisure Centre we have the fitness class for you! Whether you're looking for high impact exercise to burn off calories or a more gentle class to strengthen and tone, there is a full range of fitness classes available for all levels and abilities. With fantastic new interactive equipment we also offer fun classes which combine physical activity with video gaming technology. Gym
The 219sqm gym features state of the art equipment with iPod connectivity, touch screen technology and USB connection. This fantastic equipment is supplied by Technogym who are providing the fitness equipment for training venues and the Athlete's Village for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. If you're not already a GO member make sure you book your induction at Reception and get GOing!
Sauna & Steam Room
Relax and unwind following your workout in the sauna and steam room which is available poolside.
Squash Courts
Dunston Leisure Centre has 3 squash courts which are open daily. Equipment is available for hire for squash and racketball.
Swimming Pools
After all of these activities why not cool down in one of the two pools, including our 6 lane, 25m main pool with a range of activities for both adults and kids, including swimming lessons, aquafit and our fun rafts and rings sessions!
Wi-fi Hotspots
At Dunston Leisure Centre you can access the internet via a wi-fi connection in our Gym and Studios. To get access just register at Reception.
Electric Car Charging Points
The North East’s Plugged in Places project (PIP) will create a comprehensive network of electric car charging infrastructure across the North East region within the next three years. At Dunston Leisure Centre you will find standard charging points with each charging point allowing a single phase 32A 240V supply. The time taken to fully charge a car with a 3kw standard charger is eight hours and with a 7kw standard charger four hours.
