Gateshead College Academy for Sport offers a unique opportunity to its 300 students.
Based at the stadium, students can train alongside elite athletes, work with the community and perfect sporting skills whilst gaining academic qualifications, all in an environment which inspires great success.
The Academy offers everything from:

Full time BTEC National Diplomas in specific sports;

Part time courses in football coaching or gym instruction;

Specialist Sports Academies in men and women's football, rugby, athletics, netball and basketball are also available where students combine 9 hours of specialist coaching per week while studying towards valuable academic and coaching qualifications.
As well as using the facilities on site, students enjoy state of the art classrooms with integrated IT, sport science and sports medicine facilities, an aerobics studio and a learning resource centre.
