What is a ‘Walking Bus’?

The Walking Bus is a simple concept that helps kids to meet their need for daily exercise while offering parents the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their children are well supervised by responsible adults. At least two Active Kidz staff members walk from a meeting point to an Active Kidz venue.

Where will the ‘Walking Bus’ operate during the Spring 2012 scheme?

A Walking Bus is available on request from Deckham Community Centre to the Elgin Centre for parents/carers with children and young people attending both venues.

What should I do if I wish to make use of the ‘Walking Bus’?

Children of both age groups should be dropped off at Deckham Community Centre and children and young people attending the 8 – 14 scheme at the Elgin Centre will be safely escorted to the other venue.
