Sports - The park offers free tennis and basketball facilities all year round.
Play areas - Children from toddlers upwards can enjoy the two play areas in the Park.
The bowling greens - The park has three popular bowling greens, with historic Avenue Green Pavilion a focal point.
The Northern Fields - The main area of the park ideal for picnics and events!

The Education Centre - The original style stable blocks behind the towers are now used by schools, colleges and community groups.
Pets' corner - Two aviaries have been restored to house some of the park's much-loved animals.
The Dene - A wonderful woodland valley, created to provide a multi-sensory experience in the park. The stream has been restored with pools, cascades and a lily pond.
The Maze - William Wailes created the maze for his family and it’s still enjoyed today by adults and children.
The Rose Garden - Provides a peaceful haven at the heart of the park.
