Chase away the winter blues and join the springtime celebrations in our beautiful park.
The free event will take place between 10am – 4pm on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April and will include children’s activities, music, storytelling, animals from Bill Quay Community Farm, and horticultural displays.
There will also be some some sport-themed entertainment to celebrate our status as European City of Sport for 2010 and to encourage local people to get active and healthy.
This includes: street theatre with Bo the Clown’s Cyclus Circus, family sculpture workshops with professional artists; Jane Gower and Tony Scandrett and Comedy Street Theatre from the Fairly Famous Family. There will also be displays from a range of societies, including Gateshead Allotment Association and Whickham Hermitage Garden.
