Cancer Research UK returns to Gateshead’s Saltwell Park to host the Race For Life, one of 260 similar events taking place across the UK. A 5km course takes you round the park and its surrounding areas, challenging you to help raise money for the charity. The event starts at 11.00am, with a warm-up taking place an hour before to get you pepared for the event. This year they’re hoping to see 3000 women run, jog or walk the course to help more people survive cancer. To take part or for more information visit the Race For Life website at
