Part of an on going project to create a Country Park on a large area of green space in the east of the Borough. Wardley Manor is a large reclamation scheme with grassland, tree planting and ponds.
The site includes Pelaw Quarry Pond Local Nature Reserve|. Paths across the wider site also allows the opportunity to make circular walks, cycle and horse rides.
Access from Mill Lane, Hebburn or from the Bowes Railway Path.
