Walking Trail from the Thornley Woodlands Centre

Derwent Walk Country Park Derwenthaugh Park

Yellow Trail YELLOW Through mixed woodland. 1 mile long with no steps and undulating gradient. Rough in places.

Red Trail RED Through woodland and riverside meadows. About 2½ miles long with several flights of steps and steep gradients. Rough in places.

Blue TrailBLUE Through Thornley Wood. Less than 1 mile long with steps and undulating gradients. Rough in places. An alternative start without steps is to cross the road, turn to the right, follow the road and enter the wood through a gate beside the lay by. Follow the path to the left until you pick up the trail at the bottom of the steps.
