Please note that due to essential bridge works taking place to Allerdene Bridge, situated on the A1 Gateshead Western Bypass, delays are expected.
Work will start on Saturday 25 July and will result in the southbound traffic being reduced to a single lane for up to 3 weeks to enable work to be carried out. Northbound traffic will remain in two lanes but of reduced width.
