The Bewicks 
coffee shop and restaurant is now open in the Civic Centre on the Ground Floor.
Bewicks was chosen as the name to celebrate the life of Thomas Bewick, an 18th - 19th Century English wood engraver and ornithologist who resided in West Street, Gateshead until his death in 1828.
There's a hot and cold menus plus daily specials, a deli counter and a coffee shop / bar area offering sandwiches, patisseries and speciality coffees.
