Ventifact (Sandstone and glass) by Cate Watkinson

The idea for the seat comes from looking at the shapes of rocks, especially soft sedimentary rocks after they have been eroded by the wind. The name for such objects gives the title of the piece 'ventifact'. The flowing organic form has a layer of glass between the base and the top which visually lifts the piece, the glass naturally making a glowing light effect between the base and the top.
