Creativity Development Manager
  • Partnership working with cultural organisations, schools and the Council;
  • Development of a system for auditing the Arts and Culture in schools and continuing research;
  • Summer Sunburst Programme in Saltwell Park;
  • Sucess of bidding for Culture 10 bids;
  • Positive beginning for the Culture Panel ( LSP );
  • Developing the role of the sub-regional Arts Officers Group.
Karolynne Hart Community Arts / Arts in Education Officer
  • Annual Culture in Education Showcase networking event for teachers and cultural organisations;
  • Arts in Health projects including work with Gateshead Health Trust;
  • Arts in Education Programme e.g. Kate Maestri workshops linked to The Sage Gateshead and Scott Henshall fashion project;
  • Caedmon Satellite programme of theatre events and support for Space for Sports and Arts schools.
Sue Hurrell Central Arts Officer 
  • Caedmon Live Programme, an exciting mix of jazz, world music, thetre and workshops;
  • Piano Workshops and masterclasses;
  • Black History Month - building relationships with the diverse communities of Gateshead;
  • Sunburst World Music Festival Day in Saltwell Park.
Mari MacDonald Area Arts Officer 
  • Bring on the Boys;
  • Little Youth Theatre and Drama development;
  • Support for Artsist in Residence - development of Storytelling work in the borough;
  • Community Festival support and small grants work;
  • Programming for Flower Shows and Boat Race;
  • Prime Time development of arts activities for older people.
Adam Taylor & Lynn Knight Arts Technician & Arts Administrator
  • Events inside and outside of Caedmon Hall, technical, sound, lighting, outdoor event planning, health and safety;
  • Arts administrative support for the team and The Gallery programme, including hanging exhibitions, sales and workshops.
Amelia Davies & Olivia Cameron Senior Arts Admin Assitants
  • Christmas activities programme;
  • Caedmon Satellite programme support;
  • Baseline research for creativity in schools;
  • Planning and developing the participation workshops for Leviathan;
  • Helping to deliver the Sunburst Summer activities in the Park;
  • Crazy Paving street theatre events in Trinity Square.
Barbara-Ann Brown Cultural and Creativity Ambassadors Co-ordinator
  •  Developing the Culture & Creativity weblog and editing the web-site;
  • Developing a successful range of information services for the network of teachers;
  • Expanding the network of ambassadors to include the Early Years;
  • Supporting the Arts in Education Programme.
Catherine Ross Cultural Volunteers Development Officer
  • Develop a pastoral role for supporting the Voluntary Arts Sector;
  • Research and develop a model and an index of vitality for the voluntary arts networks in the neighbourhood areas;
  • Raise the profile of volunteering in the cultural sector, increase the number of volunteers and develop the opportunities for volunteers.
