FamilyWise is a service to help support you and members of your family, on the road towards work.
We recognise that the transition from benefits to work can be a daunting one. FamilyWise offers a comprehensive information, advice and support service that will help you and members of your family, identify and move towards finding jobs that are right for you. We will work with you, and members of your family if you wish, to help you build on your existing strengths to enable you and your family to realise your full potential.
How we help you and your family
You will be assigned your own personal Family Coach for the whole time you’re with us. Your Family Coach is dedicated to supporting you, and your family members, and will be your main point of contact for as long as you remain with our service. We will arrange appointments around you and your commitments to ensure that you only ever do things at a pace that’s good for you.
Working Together to Identify Needs
We will work with you to assess your needs, both personally and as a family. We appreciate individual and family circumstances are different, and at times complex. We will take the time required to fully understand your circumstances and offer you the best possible practical advice. Your Family Coach can also link with other organisations who may be involved with you and your family to ensure all the support you receive is joined up and best for you.
Personal Action Plan
We will work with you to agree a Personal Action Plan, this enables you to see what we have planned together to help you move towards the goals you have set. We can also work with the other members of your family to agree a plan of action for the whole family, this is known as a ‘Family Pledge’.
Personalised Support Package
To help you achieve the goals set out in your Action Plan, you will be offered a range of support. Support is tailored to your particular needs and specific family circumstances to make sure you get the help you really need. We can offer you practical help with Money Matters, Debt Advice, Benefits, Housing, Gaining New Skills, Healthy Lifestyles, Returning to Paid Employment and much more.
To keep you on track, and motivated, we will stay in touch on a regular basis to listen, support, advise you in the best way possible, allowing you to continue to make progress. You can access information, guidance and advice from your personal Family Coach, as well as via our hotline telephone number 0191 477 3747 or our mailbox firstname.lastname@example.org
Our support doesn’t stop when you get a job. We will continue to stay in touch to make sure everything is going well. We’re on hand to answer any questions you may have, or support you with any challenges you may face, be it at home or in the workplace. Once you have settled into work, we can also help you to progress if that is what you would like to do.
