As part of Gateshead Council and The Gateshead Housing Company's commitment to get people involved in local issues a Tenants' Forum was created in the borough.
The Tenants' Forum works with recognised tenant and residents' organisations, to put forward the views of people on issues that affect people throughout the borough, particularly housing ones.
The forum provides a link for information and views between residents, Gateshead Council, The Gateshead Housing Company and other service providers in the borough.
The forum, which meets on a monthly basis, provides a way for residents to genuinely influence the policies of Gateshead Council and other service providers.
It also provides an opportunity for members to meet up, discuss issues and give opinions on issues that affect the areas their groups represent.
