The grant assistance is set out in the Financial Assistance Policy 2009-2012 which is appended to the Private Sector Housing Renewal Strategy|.
There are a number of different grant types which are available, each covering different sorts of repairs or improvements and each grant type has different grant conditions. In many of the grant types available the assistance will be subject to a test of resources.
The availability of each grant type will always be subject to budget and sometimes may not be offered if the funding is unavailable.
