Economic factors

Economic wellbeing has been identified as a key priority area in the JSNA. It is an important public health issue as people on low incomes are more likely to experience poorer health compared to those on higher incomes. This section of the JSNA provides a brief overview of deprivation, income and poverty and the impact of welfare reform, these being key priority areas for reducing health inequalities.
