The council also investigates neighbour noise problems such as loud noise, barking dogs, DIY activities, etc.

Complaints about noisy neighbours in council owned property can be made to your Local Office of The Gateshead Housing Company|.
The Gateshead Mediation Service
The Gateshead Mediation Service, which is free to all council tenants, aims to resolve differences between neighbours, by finding lasting and acceptable solutions.
Mediation can help resolve neighbour disputes quickly and informally, and without the expense and trouble of going to court.
The mediation sessions are held at a neutral venue in the residents' area.
