Applying for a household waste permit has changed.
We have listened to resident's comments and suggestions about the application process and as a result we are improving the permit system.
Applications made through Gateshead Council Customer Services will be processed more quickly. Applications that meet our criteria can have permits e-mailed to the householder on the same day of application.
Each permit will now have an individual barcode printed on them for security reasons. This means that permits cannot be photocopied or duplicated in any way.
