Refurbished White Electrical Goods
Gateshead Council have entered into a partnership with Renew North East for the re-use of white electrical goods within Gateshead.
Unwanted washing machines, tumble dryers, cookers, etc. are collected by Gateshead Council as part of the Bulky Waste Collection Service and delivered to Renew for refurbishment.
Renew North East is a charity that refurbishes used white goods and customer returned small domestic appliances for re-use. They sell appliances |at affordable prices to people that support their environmental initiative. All appliances come with a 6 month guarantee, or 12 month for slight seconds.
Available in their factory showroom are cookers, fridges and freezers, washing machines, dryers and a selection of Philips brand small domestic appliances, e.g. irons, kettles, toasters and blenders.
Renew help the environment |by preventing used white goods from going to landfill and are aware of future legislation.
They support disadvantaged individuals gain practical work experience and training |to get into long-term employment.
Their charity works for the good of local people in the local community and helps people into work using an environmentally friendly approach.
