Further Education in Gateshead

Further education (often abbreviated FE ) is post-secondary, post-compulsory education (in addition to that received at secondary school). It may be at the same level, at a higher level, or at a lower level than secondary education, anything from basic training to Higher National and Foundation Degree.

Gateshead College is a further education in college, and has invested over £60million in four state-of-the-art campuses across Gateshead:

Baltic Campus on Gateshead Quays boasts four floors of performance and music studios, workshops, a two-tier library, an industry standard salon and spa, a 200-seat theatre, as well as student restaurant Enfields and a bistro.
The Academy for Sport at Gateshead International Stadium is number one for sport education in the region complete with an indoor athletics hall, sports science and medicine facilities and a performance lab.
The Skills Academy for Automotive, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics is the preferred trainer for Nissan apprentices and is purpose built with spray booths, rolling road, diagnostic equipment and driving simulators
The Skills Academy for Construction is a unique facility complete with real life work areas including plumbing, plastering, joinery and brickwork.
