Gateshead Education Business Links Service provides bespoke work-related learning, practical career related learning, economic well-being awareness, business link brokerage and enterprise solutions to schools across the Borough of Gateshead and beyond. Working in partnership with key stakeholders and employer’s from across the Region and local area, from small independent enterprises to larger National and International corporate companies.
As part of Gateshead Council’s Raising Achievement Service, Gateshead EBLS provide a high level of expertise in education business links. Activities promoting links with the world of work are vital in all phases of education to ensure the employees of tomorrow leave our education system with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to survive in the world of work, especially with the challenges of an ever-changing economic climate.
In July 2010, as a Member of the Institute for Education Business Excellence (IEBE) Gateshead EBLS became one of the first organisations in the Region to achieve the Award for Education Business Excellence. The AEBE accredits organisations against the National Standard for education business link organisations, whilst recognising the continued efforts and high standards achieved.
