Gateshead School Meals is the Council's own school meal provider. We provide meals to all schools in Gateshead except St Thomas More, Lord Lawson and Joseph Swan, where the schools themselves will deal with any queries.
A school meal will provide one third of a pupil’s daily requirement of nutrients, and we offer a wide range of healthy options in our nutritionally analysed menus. We want to ensure that children have a happy experience with school meals, and we work closely with schools to encourage pupils to stay for lunch and to try a wide range of foods.
