Gateshead Council is committed to raising educational standards and achievement throughout the Borough. There have been tremendous improvements made over the last few years and we want to continue this process by creating inspirational 21st century learning environments in all our schools. The PFI project| greatly enhances Gateshead's ability to further develop the schools in their curriculum delivery and place them in a position where they can play a much more active role in supporting their community. Essentially schools become a resource at the heart of their community.
The Council views PFI as a positive opportunity to support and realise many aspirations in the context of a number of initiatives:
