Primary school offers – 18 April 2017
If you live in Gateshead and applied online for your child’s primary or junior school place, you will receive an email on 18 April 2017 confirming what school your child has been offered.
All applicants that live in Gateshead will also receive a letter confirming their offer. As it is a bank holiday weekend, letters will be posted second class on Thursday 13 April 2017.
Acceptance of a school place
If you wish to accept the school place you are offered you must sign the acceptance slip enclosed with your letter and return it to The School Admissions Team by Wednesday 3 May 2017.
If you are refused
If your child is refused a place at one or more of the schools you requested, your letter will explain what the next steps are and how you can appeal against the decision and also be placed on the school(s) waiting list.
Please note that the school admissions team are unavailable from Friday 14 April 2017 to Monday 17 April 2017 due to the bank holiday weekend.
The office will reopen on Tuesday 18 April 2017 however we are unable to confirm offers verbally over the telephone and you must wait for your letter or email.

Gateshead has a mix of infant, junior and all-through primary schools (3-11 or 4-11 years).
