Teenagers To Work Co-Ordinator

What does the Teenagers To Work Co-ordinator do?

The Teenagers To Work Co-ordinator offers work experience placements to all looked after young people aged 14 years and upwards who are in education and training.

  • The work experience placements are available during every school holiday, except Christmas;
  • Every young person receives a certificate of achievement at the end of each placement;
  • Evaluation forms are completed by you, the young person, so that we know what you think about the placement and whether you enjoyed it;
  • Evaluation forms are also completed by the placement supervisors;
  • You can complete your own referral form or ask your carer or social worker to make the referral;
  • Expenses to cover the cost of transport and lunch are paid at the rate of £10 per day – payable a week in arrears into your bank account;
  • The Teenager To Work Co-ordinator has developed a portfolio of placements available for young people;
  • They will discuss with you the type of placement you want and match you to a suitable placement.
