The purpose of The Family Learning Strategy is:

To enable parents to support their children's learning through engaging the wider family in lifelong learning;

To build on Gateshead's tradition of delivering high quality Family Learning activities

To encourage partnership working across the Council on a strategic level to ensure that there is a cohesive approach to provision in the borough;
