We believe in an adult learning service that supports all adults to become successful learners. We recognise that each learner has different support needs to ensure success. Some of the support we offer includes the following:
Support for Disabled People
We have a range of services that will support your learning, for example, hearing loops, translation services and adjustable height desks. Not all of our learning centres are fully accessible to wheelchair users; however we will move courses to more accessible venues if appropriate. Please contact your enrolling officer, tutor or contact adult learning on 0191 4338646 e-mail AdultLearning@Gateshead.Go.Uk. They can help you fill out the application forms.
If you find literacy or numeracy a challenge.
We can support you through separate programmes or give you additional support for the programme of your choice. Please contact your enrolling officer, tutor, or contact Sonya Mountain on 0191 4338635, e-mail SonyaMountain@Gateshead.Gov.UK
Never used a computer?
More and more courses are enhanced by knowledge of word processing and being able to use of the Internet. Why not join one of our basic computer courses to get more out of your learning programme?

If you would like additional information on the programmes that we offer please contact the venue directly, if you need further information please telephone the Adult Learning on 0191 4338646 or e-mail AdultLearning@Gateshead.Gov.Uk
