Gateshead Council can help you with a Pre-Apprenticeship Programme that gives you the knowledge and skills to prepare you for a full employed Apprenticeship.
Our programme:

Is aimed at young people who are unsure about their vocational choice

Lasts 17 weeks and leads to recognised qualifications

Provides opportunity for you to learn skills such as

English, Maths and IT
-
Employability
-
Confidence Building
-
Short sessions on topics such as Cookery, DJ ing, Map Reading

Orienteering, Dance, Street Art, Bike Mechanics and others that you suggest

Vocational options such as
-
Plastering Bricklaying
-
Sport and Leisure Business Admin
-
Plumbing Painting and Decorating
-
ICT Valeting
-
Child Care Retail
-
Customer Service Art
-
And many more – just ask!
Offers you a placement opportunity from week 4 onwards (1 or 2 days per week)
Pays you an allowance of
£25 per week for full attendance
No prior experience needed – just turn up for interview and complete the enrolment form – a place is guaranteed!
What next?
We can also progress you onto a full apprenticeship through our contacts with employers. When we find a vacancy we will prepare you for the interview and if you are successful we will support you throughout the programme as you work towards your apprenticeship qualifications at Level 2 or Level 3.
