i+ Kiosks

Gateshead Council has got together with the other councils in Tyne and Wear to develop an easy way for everyone to access a range of Council and related services.

Over 40 public information points, known as 'i+Points' have been placed around Tyne and Wear, all offering free and easy access to Gateshead Council services.

Cityspace provides its 'Streetnet' WiFi wireless internet service at a number of the kiosks. Kiosks with Streetnet are indicated with a '#'. This service is independent of the Council.

12 kiosks are located in Gateshead:

  • Inside Gateshead Leisure Centre, Prince Consort Road
  • Inside Gateshead Stadium
  • Outside Iceland, West Street, adjacent to Trinity Square and Metro Interchange#
  • Coatsworth Road, Bensham
  • Baltic Quay, at the end of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge#
  • Crawcrook#
  • Beside the Co-op, Felling#
  • Chopwell
  • Winlaton#
  • Old Durham Road, outside the former Post Office
  • Inside Outpatients, Queen Elizabeth Hospital
