Voting at a Polling Station

So long as you are registered to vote you can vote in person on Election Day at your polling station.

  • Before the election you should receive a poll card telling you where your polling station is;
  • There will be a map indicating where to find your polling station;
  • The polling station will be open between 7.00am and 10.00pm on Election Day;
  • You can only vote at your local polling station;
  • When you attend the polling station you will be asked to give your name and address. This will then be marked on the register and you will be given a ballot paper by the polling station staff;
  • If you need any help while at the polling station the Presiding Officer will help you.
