If you are not already registered you have until midnight on Wednesday 18 April 2012 to register to be able to vote in this years local election.

The next local council elections| will take place on Thursday 3 May. To vote you must be on the electoral register – you are not automatically put on the register even if you pay Council Tax.

Postal vote sample signatures

If you applied for a postal vote before 31 January 2007 you will shortly be receiving a letter from us asking for a new sample signature. This is to make sure we have up-to-date sample signatures. If you want to continue voting by post complete and return the letter by 12 March 2012. If you miss this deadline you will still be able to vote in person at your local polling station.
