Within Housing Services we work with some of the most vulnerable members ofthe community. Although our service users do not necessarily fall within the Council’s existing Protection of Vulnerable Adults Policy however, they can be vulnerable for a number of reasons such as:

Care Leavers;

Homeless;

Substance Mis-users;

Non English Speaking;
-
Fleeing Domestic Violence;

Refugees;
-
Poor health.
Our Service users may be more prone to people taking advantage of them. This can be in various forms of abuse. Such abuse will be re-occurring and may stem from family members, the local community, doorstop trades, council staff, care staff and Housing Company
