Adult Social Care Direct

Adult Social Care Direct is the first point of contact for you or your family if you feel you need help from social care in Gateshead.

When you contact us you will speak to a trained initial contact co-ordinator.  They will ask you questions about your situation and discuss with you the appropriate outcome.

If your needs cannot be met by social services they can signpost you to other organisations who can help.  They can decide if a further assessment is appropriate and will take further details to make the referral for you to one of the specialist assessment teams.

You can call Adult Social Care Direct on 0191 433 7033
Between 8.45 - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45 - 4.35pm on Friday. 
You can email them on enquiries.cbs@gateshead.gov.uk| and leave your contact details and someone will call you back between the opening hours.
