The metrocentre healthy eating award celebrates the great selection of food and drinks available at metrocentre.
Any business that serves food in metrocentre can apply - whether you offer nutritious sit down meals, takeaways or snacks, have a staff canteen or vending machines filled with healthy treats.
You must have a current 4 or 5 star food hygiene rating and complete a short self-assessment form to tell us about your healthy food cooking practices and menu. You can download the form from the right of this page.
Send the completed form back to at the address below and we'll check if you're eligible for an award. If you don't meet this criteria, Gateshead Council's public health team can work with you to reach the standards necessary to apply.
The award is FREE to enter and is a great way to raise the profile of your business, and attract more customers who are looking for a healthy meal or snack during their trip to metrocentre.
