Yes, the Council has Welfare Rights workers who can visit you as well as holding Surgeries in some areas where you can visit, their role is to offer advice and maximise your benefits. Please be aware Welfare Rights workers do not deal with appeals, you would be better off contacting Gateshead Advice Centre|.
