Gateshead Safeguarding| Adults Partnership board is made up of a wide range of statutory, voluntary and independent agencies and organisations, all working to gether to keep adults who are at greatest risk| of neglect or abuse| safe from harm.
Policies and Procedures
We have produced Policy and Procedures| so that all staff and volunteers across all of the partner agencies know what to do to help prevent abuse, and to respond appropriately when allegations are made or concerns are raised. The procedures also explain how service users, carers and members of the public can report their concerns|.
Concerns
If you have concerns for yourself or if you are concerned that someone has been or is being abused contact Adult Social Care Direct|.
Adults with social care needs are more likely to experience abuse and may be less able to access services or support to keep them safe.
In Gateshead Council, we have policy and procedures that ensure the relevant agencies and services work together to prevent abuse and to help and support adults with social care needs who may have been the victim of abuse.
We all have he right to live our lives free from abuse. For more information on Safeguarding see the Frequently Asked Questions| FAQ page.
