Gateshead Council’s Adult Social Care Service encourages and supports people to live independently in their own homes, amongst family and friends, as long as it is appropriate to do so. There is a range of possible services that could be arranged such as meals service, home care, day care, adaptations to your home, disabled persons parking and the adult placement service. We will usually need to arrange an assessment to determine what help is needed. Depending on the outcome of the assessment, we may be able to arrange any of the above Adult Social Care Services.
