This leaflet is for customers who have a 'life line' fitted in their home. The Service gives independence and full support from a 24-hour emergency alarm system, seven days a week, 365 days a years and is available to older people, people with disabilities or any person deemed to be at risk.

Guideposts 2mb PDF|
This booklet gives you information about Guidepost, a Drop In enterprise, run by people with learning disabilities who access Day Opportunities, with support from Gateshead Council staff who work in partnership with Gateshead People.
The Drop In is a ‘signposting’ service and offers a range of support for people with learning disabilities who may not access any other services and feel socially isolated in their community.
Guidepost aims to link people with their community and at present runs three days a week from different venues across Gateshead.
Leaving Hospital
|Most people who are admitted to hospital for treatment go home after a few days and are able to look after themselves. But not everyone can go straight home. This leaflet explains the extra help and support that is available to enable people to return home following their stay in hospital
