Safety Works!

Safety Works is part of the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and has been running since 2001.  Visitors take part in realistic situations to help them learn how to cope with potential hazards in every day life.

The Safety Works Centre includes a house where people can test their knowledge, with advice on preventing house fires and falls. The centre also raises awareness of road safety, trading standards, crime prevention, home and personal safety.

People will be able to enjoy one of the free fun days taking place soon, which include learning to cope with various scenarios, a humorous play, healthy lunch and free transport to and from the Safety Works centre.
