Home Help

The Domiciliary Care Service (Home Help) provides care and support allowing you to stay at home and remain independent for as long as possible. The service operates between the hours of 7am and 11pm and the service is usually provided to people aged 65 and over.

What we do

What will we do to help you? - we will work out a package of support that meets you personal needs and which builds on your skills and abilities.

Why we offer this service? - we believe you should be able to stay at home as long as possible - helping you to maintain and if possible, improve your quality of life with a tailored package of service.

When can you receive this service? - if you feel you are not coping very well at home - you may have trouble getting dressed or making meals - get in touch with us and we will come and see you to find out how we can help you.

How can I get this service?

If you, a relative or friend need help to allow you to remain in your own home, please let us know.

Following your call an assessment worker will come and see you to find out how well you are coping and what kind of help you need.

If your assessment shows that you do need our help and support, a care plan will be drawn up with you and a domiciliary care worker will arrange the details of the package with you.

Once in place your care plan will be monitored and reviewed regularly, any changes to you care plan will be discussed with you, if at any other time your needs change you should contact your domiciliary care manager or assessing worker. You can also ask you domiciliary care worker to contact them for you.

All domiciliary care services work to a set of nationally agreed minimum standards. These standards are inspected by the Commission for Social Care and Inspection and are in place to ensure the level of quality that people should expect when they receive a domiciliary care service.
