'Looked after' is a term used to refer to those children and young people who are cared for by the local authority, usually by living with foster carers or in residential homes.
The Looked After Children’s team works with children up to the age of 15. It is made up of social workers, therapists and support staff who work with children to support them to be happy, healthy and safe and ensure all their needs are being met.
There is a separate team who work with looked after young people aged 15 and over and care leavers.
