Fostering

"Fostering is the most challenging and yet the most rewarding thing we have ever done. To make even the smallest difference to the life of a child is the most amazing feeling. Total job satisfaction." ... A Foster Carer, Gateshead

A number of children across Gateshead are in need of a temporary or permanent home. For various reasons, it may not be appropriate for them to stay with their birth family and they are in need of a secure and steady environment.

Fostering can, quite literally, make a positive difference to the lives of everyone involved. Over the next few pages, you can learn more about fostering and the ways you can help.
