Children in Need Teams

The four Children in Need teams work throughout the borough. They work with children and families who have been assessed by the Access and Assessment Team |as being in need.

The teams work together on a medium to long term basis with families:

  • to support family life;
  • to reduce social exclusion;
  • to reduce anti-social behaviour amongst children;
  • to give every child the opportunity of a happy, healthy and successful life.

The teams carry out intensive work arranged through care plans to support and promote the welfare of children and young people.
