If you are having problems paying your rates, it is important that you contact us immediately. We will be able to provide advice on payment arrangements to help your business.
If you do not contact us immediately when you are having difficulties, recovery action may be taken.
You can now choose how to pay your Business Rates (and also check your account balance online|).

1. Online
You can pay online by visiting our Online Payments| page and clicking Business Rates.

2. Direct Debit
You can pay your account by direct debit. This will be collected on the 1st of each month and can be collected:

over 10 months (April to January) or;

12 months (April to March)

3. Standing Order
Complete and submit the standing order form on the right-hand side to your bank.

4. Cash
You can pay by cash at any of our Cash Collection Offices.

5. Cheque
You can post a cheque to Gateshead Council at the address on the right.
