The Council enforces legislation on asbestos at all workplaces where it is responsible for safety legislation i.e. most non-industrial/factory premises and provides information and advice to employers/employees on safe working practice.
Advisory services are also provided for householders wishing to remove or work on materials which may contain asbestos.
