Fairtrade Foundation
Primary communication aims are to raise awareness of the FAIRTRADE Mark, to deepen understanding of the Mark and to increase sales of Fairtrade certified products. Produce a range of promotional materials such as leaflets and posters to raise awareness. Each year in March they organise Fairtrade Fortnight, when local groups across the country link up with supermarkets, wholefood shops, churches and schools to promote Fairtrade. Information is regularly issued to newspapers, magazines and broadcast media to secure features on Fairtrade issues. Supported in this work by CAFOD, Christian Aid, Oxfam, Traidcraft Exchange and the World Development Movement as well as the National Federation of Women’s Institutes, the Townswomen’s Guild and many other voluntary organisations.
