Fly Posting

Fly Posting is an illegal, anti-social activity that creates a negative impression of an area and contributes to people’s fear of crime.

The Council has the power to obliterate or remove unauthorised fly posting.

The Council also has legal powers to issue fixed penalty notices to a person found to be responsible for the display of these posters, they can be prosecuted.

Under delegated powers, the Head of Regulatory Services authorises Neighbourhood Wardens and Supervisors to exercise enforcement powers relating to the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices when dealing with Littering, Fly Posting and Graffiti.
