Local Land Charges - Personal Search
A personal search is an inspection of the Local Land Charges Register. It can be carried out by anyone upon payment of the fee, which for 2008/2009 is £11.00. Payment is required at the time of the appointment and can be made by credit / debit card, cheque or cash. For more information see the Land Searches| page.
The Land Charges Register is available to persons wishing to carry out the search by appointment only, between 9.30am and 4pm. To make the appointment you can contact the service in person or by telephone. Once you have made the appointment you must provide Land Charges with a plan (preferably from Ordnance Survey) highlighting the area to be searched. This must be received by 9.30am on the last working day prior to the appointment and can be accepted by e-mail, post, fax or in person.
The Land Charges Register is held electronically, a member of staff will be available to operate the system.
